 Morgrip 3000 Series
The 3000 Series is the flagship of the Morgrip range. The range carries full DNV TYPE approval in compliance with RP-F104 and OSF-101, and provides a high specification connector for any critical repair or tie-in application up to 48" pipe diameter and 2500lb ANSI rating.
The 3000 Series accommodates the combined worst-case tolerances, and anticipated external load cases outlined in the applicable DNV and API codes, to give unparalleled performance and reliability.
The 3000 series has axial, bend, and burst-strength equivalent as a minimum to a welded joint. In fatigue tests the connector outlasts 9 out of 10 good quality welds. Using the Morgrip connector requires no technical compromise when compared to a welded joint, but retains all the simplicity and practicality of any mechanical connector.
The metal and graphite sealing system lends itself well to all applications, including gas and sour service and also to long-term storage for contingency requirements. Corrosion protection mechanisms ensure a connector design life of minimum 30 years, which can be extended to 50.
The connector is intended for permanent usage, but can also be removed and refurbished on-site ready for re-installation.
